COPYWriting

Email Campaign

Company: Unbounce

Skills: copywriting and editing

Business Need

Refreshing an email nurture flow to reengage existing contacts, strengthen brand relationships, and drive product sales.

Approach

In writing the nurture emails, I leveraged Unbounce’s casual, witty and fun tone, incorporating a tongue-in-cheek style that balances being informative without coming across as too “salesy.” This ensured consistency with Unbounce's established writing style.

Outcome

  • 27% open rate
  • 3% click-through rate
  • 2% conversion rate

Marketing Brochure

Organization: Simon Fraser University

Skills: copywriting and editing, stakeholder management

Business Need

Creating a brochure that promotes SFU Innovates — the university’s innovation initiative — to drive brand awareness and attract potential donors and partnerships.

Approach

To align with SFU’s brand identity, I adopted the university’s confident, approachable tone and voice, while using plain language to ensure accessibility for a wide audience. I focused the content on real-world impact to engage key stakeholders and highlight the value of SFU Innovates.

Outcome

The brochure elevated SFU Innovates’ visibility and credibility on a global stage, helping stakeholders understand its value and impact. Regularly used by SFU’s President and VPs on international trips, it became a key tool for strengthening global partnerships and showcasing the university’s leadership in innovation and community engagement.
